This launcher has been rewritten in 2020 to use mainly a fake Java Native Interface to communicate with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Additionally shortly after the release of the first 64bit versions on the Google Play Store, this previously 32bit only Launcher has been ported to arm64 and x86_64.

Chmod Minecraft Client
Sudo chmod +x server.jar. For the Minecraft server to run, we need to create and add a line to the End User License Agreement file. We’ll use the ‘vi’ command to create and open the file in the vi text editor like this: vi eula.txt. Once you’re in the file, press ‘I’ on your keyboard to enter into INSERT mode. Now type the following.
When the download of the Minecraft server finishes, browse the directory and locate the file. This method will be executable for both Debina and Fedora Linux distributions. First, run the following chmod command to grant the execution permission to the Minecraft server file. Sudo chmod +x minecraftserver.jar. Chmod +x minecraftserver.jar screen echo 'eula=true' eula.txt How to Start the Minecraft Server. In the previous section, we taught you how to install Minecraft on CentOS 8. If you have successfully completed all these steps, you can start Minecraft by using the following command: java -Xmx768M -Xms768M -jar minecraftserver.jar nogui.
The command is very similar to that for directories - find.type f -print0 xargs -0 chmod 664 again in the directory you wish to set perms for. The bigger problem comes from how multicraft is configured to run - if it is set to run a single minecraft instance per user you'll need to look up the correct user/group to set for file/folder. This is a detailed bash script to update a vanilla Minecraft server. Default parameters can be modified within the script, or passed in as parameters. Target installation version will default to the latest release, though any version can be specified. This script was written on CentOS 7 but should work for any POSIX compliant Linux distribution so long as the dependencies are available.
